Hi, my name is Jennifer, and I am a Veterinary Administrative Specialist at TruVet. I have been part of this team since June 2021, and my passion for helping animals is at the heart of everything I do.
Personal Hobbies and Interests
Outside of work, I enjoy sipping wine with friends, tending to my garden, and hiking the trails with my pit bull June. I also share my home with Waylon, a sweet cat who came into my life after Dr. Kruger helped him as a stray — it was love at first sight.

The most inspiring part of my job is the joy of helping animals — it is my passion through and through. Working in specialty is a continuous journey of learning, and at TruVet, there is always an opportunity to grow and thrive.
Why I Chose This Profession
After raising my son, I knew I wanted a career that truly mattered to me. The moment I stepped into veterinary medicine, I found exactly that — a field where I could combine my love of animals with the satisfaction of making a real difference every day.
Education
I attended SRJC to study veterinary technology, gaining the skills and knowledge that launched my career in veterinary medicine.
Professional Background
My experience spans shelter medicine, general practice, and specialty and emergency care. In my current role, I support the Internal Medicine team while also managing inventory and coordinating specialty services — a combination that keeps every day interesting and varied.
Work History
Before joining TruVet, I spent time as a stay-at-home mum before returning to school to pursue a new career in veterinary medicine. I began in shelter medicine, moved into general practice, and ultimately found my passion in specialty and emergency care. Since joining TruVet, I have worked as a veterinary assistant in the Internal Medicine department and taken on responsibilities in inventory management and specialty coordination.
