Hospitalization

What To Expect

We understand how difficult it can be when a pet requires hospitalization. Our goal is to provide attentive, compassionate care while keeping you informed throughout your pet's stay. A veterinarian is available in the hospital 24 hours a day to care for hospitalized patients.

The information below is intended to help you understand what to expect while your pet is under our care.

Visitation Guidelines

Visitation is generally encouraged; however, please confirm with your attending veterinarian or a member of the medical team whether visitation is recommended for your pet.

  • Visiting hours are 9:00 AM–7:00 PM, seven days a week
  • If you need to visit outside of these hours, please discuss this with your attending veterinarian in advance
  • Due to the nature of emergency and critical care, visiting hours may occasionally need to be enforced to ensure uninterrupted patient care

Additional visitation details:

  • Please call ahead to let us know you are on your way
  • A member of the medical team will bring your pet to an exam room for visitation

Communication & Phone Updates

We are committed to keeping you informed while your pet is hospitalized.

  • You will receive two updates daily from the veterinarian overseeing your pet's care
  • Please avoid calling between 7:00–9:00 AM and 7:00–9:00 PM, which are shift-change and treatment periods

To streamline communication, we ask that you designate one family member as the primary point of contact. If multiple family members would like updates, please ask your veterinarian whether a group or conference call can be arranged.
