Taylor S.

RVT, Co-Nursing Manager

Hi, my name is Taylor, and I am a Registered Veterinary Technician and Co-Nursing Manager at TruVet. I am passionate about treating animals with the highest level of care and educating their owners to improve the lives of pets and their families.

Personal Hobbies and Interests

Outside of work, I am a passionate soccer fan and love both playing the sport and travelling — especially to Europe to catch Premier League matches live. I also enjoy wine tasting adventures. At home I am a proud mum to my little girl and share my life with my husband and our four beloved pets: Ra's Al Ghul, John Wick, Quinzel, and Talia.

Favorite Part of My Job

I find true inspiration in my passion for treating animals and educating their owners. Being part of a team that works together to make a meaningful impact in our community — for both pets and their families — is what keeps me motivated every day.

Why I Chose This Profession

I have always been drawn to caring for animals and supporting the people who love them. Veterinary medicine allows me to combine that passion with leadership and education, which is something I find deeply fulfilling.

Education

I hold an Associate of Arts degree in Spanish and Humanitarian Studies. I completed the SRJC RVT programme and earned my veterinary technician licence in January 2018. I am currently pursuing certification in the Recover CPR programme.

Professional Background

My extensive background across shelter medicine, general practice, and emergency care has shaped my approach to patient care and leadership. I am dedicated to supporting my team and providing the highest standard of care to every animal we treat.

Work History

My career in veterinary medicine spans 13 years, including three years in shelter medicine, seven years in general practice, and three years in emergency care. I joined TruVet in November 2020 as a Registered Veterinary Technician and have since grown into my role as Nursing Manager on the floor.
