TruVet Specialty & Emergency Hospital's Urgent Care service provides same-day appointments for evaluation and treatment for dogs and cats with non-life-threatening medical concerns. When your pet needs prompt attention but is stable and not in critical condition, urgent care offers timely medical support without the need for emergency-level intervention.
Our team provides focused examinations, diagnostic testing when appropriate, and clear treatment recommendations to help your pet recover safely and comfortably.
Due to the limited availability of same-day appointments, please call (707) 940-8444 to schedule your appointment. Please be aware that TruVet Specialty & Emergency Hospital's Urgent Care Service does not accept walk-ins.
Conditions Commonly Treated
Urgent care may be appropriate for pets experiencing:
- Vomiting or diarrhea (without collapse or severe dehydration)
- Pain or limping
- Minor cuts, lacerations, or bite wounds
- Ear infections causing discomfort
- Minor eye injuries or sudden redness
- Coughing or sneezing
- Urinary accidents or changes in urination
- Sudden behavioral changes
- Lethargy without collapse
- Suspected foreign body ingestion (toys, socks, bones) in stable patients

Dr. Emily Nomann grew up in sunny Southern California and moved north to attend the University of California, Davis, where she completed both her undergraduate studies and veterinary education.
