Prescription Authorization & Refill Process
To ensure patient safety and appropriate medical oversight, pharmacy services are available under the following guidelines:
- Medications and prescription diets require a TruVet exam within the past 12 months
- All prescriptions require authorization from a TruVet veterinarian
- Refill requests can be submitted through our online refill request system
- Please allow 5–7 business days for processing and fulfillment
For accuracy and compliance, refill requests are not accepted by phone or direct email.
Online Pharmacy
For added convenience, TruVet offers access to an online veterinary pharmacy for select medications and prescription diets. Depending on the product, this option may include home delivery and cost savings.
Online pharmacy orders remain part of your pet's ongoing care and follow the same prescribing standards as medications dispensed on site.
